The powerful http engine processes the downlink traffic and smartly optimizes content according to policy profiles and to browser capability. The latter can then reprocess the minimized information. TCP packets are maximized, TCP connections that are already open are reused, avoiding the opening of a new connection. http 1.1 also allows multiple http requests to be issued without waiting for the corresponding response.

xG WebPerformer’s conception allows it to be deployed in a transparent mode in the network. The failover capabilities allow hot/stand-by deployments.  Combined with the fail-to-wire feature, availability is above 99.999%. Running on most recent multi-cores hardware, xG WebPerformer’s parallel processing architecture can reach more than 10GB per unit which can be cascaded to increase throughput.
